The Swift Water / Flood Rescue program Is divided into three levels:
Awareness level - one day of lecture, videos, discussion and case studies.
Operations level - one day on the water starting out in slow moving water and progressing to class 2/3 moving water.*
Technician level - three days and includes, tensioned rope rescue, manned and unmanned boats ops, swimming rescues, night operations on second day and rescue scenarios.*
*Class 2/3 moving water when available, or simulated if necessary.
Students can participate in each level individually or all three levels in progressive order
Course Description: This class is designed to prepare an individual or team with the swift water / flood rescue skills and knowledge needed to complete an internationally recognized course. Completion of this 3-part course will certify the student as a Technician level swift water / flood rescuer.
