It is hard to say just one thing that interested me, because it all was, but I really like the ferry angle 45° swim “Awsome class all around.” *It was fairly physically demanding but bottom line if a person is not physically ready for a rescue ops. I don’t want them rescuing me! -Instructors were very easy to understand and did wonderful showing hand on techniques. *One of the best courses I have ever taken. Thanks Paul, Bruce, Gary and Rich. Awsome Job Guys! |
| GREAT CLASS. Come work for JPFD. This is the first exercise in 5 years that I learned something as well as enjoyed! |

I found the class very informative and practical from a strictly supervisor point of view. I would like to see more information relative to selecting members for a rescue team – (Physical abilities, minimum requirements etc.) Also, from a management perspective tips on policies to limit departmental liability.

It was Awesome! The energy and passion Paul radiates about the subject matter is obvious. I will recommend this class to everyone. I found learning to recognize objects under the water the most interesting. I really didn’t find any of the subject matter too difficult. All of the information was presented in timely and fun – manner – as it was very easy to understand.

I learned a lot in this class, more than I expected too which is a very good indication that even after 26 years in the Fire Service & 4 years as a Navy Crash/SAR Crew Captain, a good instructor can teach old dogs new tricks. Thanks for all the information and training. If I ever have to use this training, I am now more confident that I will save a life thanks to YOU! I appreciate your efforts & knowledge and am looking forward to one day taking the tech Course.

| I did enjoy the class very much. The hands on experience is priceless in our line of work. I now know when and if called upon, some or most of these instincts will kick in and allow me to protect myself and the community we protect. I do like the unexpected rocks, boulders, they are a rude awakening as to what problems some of the hidden obstructions you mentioned in class can really do. The bumps and scrapes may heal, but the knowledge will remain. Thanks and God bless you. Tye |
I think that all of the instructors did an excellent job in explaining giving different scenarios regarding rescue ops. They were all patient with students and using all safety precautions during training exercise. I would recommend anyone to take this class |
| This was the best class I have ever attended. I learned a lot about how to predict the water and the hydraulics to swimming techniques and rescuing. I would have liked to see more paper material on the stuff we learned such as the three points, knots, Nets and Rescue Technique Diagrams. Other than that everything was great. Can’t wait for open water diving. |
| I have been around water all my life and never have I experienced the training I have received from the instructors giving this course. I would recommend anyone who does water rescue look into this course. |
| I enjoyed the Awareness, Operations, & Tech Course. All instructors were helpful & knowledgeable. I will/would recommend anyone to attend any/all classes that you instruct. This was one of the only classes that I had to work for my completion. I would have liked to have more water time, but I understand that time is limited. |
| I thought the class was very informative but should be longer (days, wks. etc.) I enjoyed the live bait rescue the best. (The class or certification Is no gimme like the others you actually had to work for your efforts. I look forward to expanding my knowledge soon, as I would like to become a rescue diver etc., because I have such love for the water and feel comfortable in that particular surrounding. (Thanks) |
| This class was very educational and I learned a lot even though I lived around the water and have worked on the water most of my life. I will recommend this class to anyone who is in shape because it does require a lot of physical fitness |
